Time off is allowed to attend internal interview during works time, please ensure your line manager has agreed to the time away from work.
You would start after working the notice period for your current internal position. The start date can be earlier or later, If mutually agreed between you, your current line manager and the line manager in your new role.
Secondments are to enable the development of skills and experience in a particular role and posts will normally be offered on the specific terms advertised.
Any secondment would need prior agreement from the head of service for both your current post and any potential secondment position in consultation with HR.
